Byblos Bank Armenia – Education for Lifetime BBA Presented Bank History Lecture at Ayb High School

Over 70 students of Ayb high school had an opportunity to learn about the history and development of banking business. The CEO of Byblos Bank Armenia Mr. Ararat Ghukasyan presented the world history of banking including Armenia as well as the functions of a bank during the Lunch Hour Lecture series at Ayb School. The students actively participated in the discussion and the Q&A session.

An Ayb student, Narek who wants to become a diplomat in the future thinks everybody must know about banking history. This is important to know both as a citizen and as a future professional.

“I have learned a lot about banking during this lecture. The topic of banking evolution was particularly important, since we cannot make deals with banks correctly unless we know the underlying history and principles. This knowledge may play an important role in my future career as well”, said Narek.

Mr. Ghukasyan also presented the key principles of banking business which are the mutual trust and professionalism. Byblos Bank Armenia pays much attention to fostering the development of education. At the end of the meeting Mr. Ghukasyan encouraged the students to study hard, since education and knowledge are the only true guarantees of successful and dignified life.

In the near future Ayb school students will have an on-site visit to one of the Byblos Bank Armenia branches. During the job shadowing visit the students will learn about the bank operations and will have discussions with the Byblos staff.
