As you are already informed Master Card has implemented a new system called 3D secure, in order to increase the security level of card transactions performed via internet.

While performing a transaction by Master Card, Cirrus/Maestro cards on the sites with this security system, for transaction authorization the cardholder must enter the special code sent to him/her by SMS in addition to the use of CVV code, which is mentioned on reverse side of the card.

When performing an online purchase or other transaction from the sites with the mentioned security system, the use of SMS service is a mandatory, which is offered by Byblos Bank Armenia for free of charge (only SMS received through 3D secure system is free of charge).

Thereby, starting from April 3, 2017 Bank will activate SMS service for 3 D secure system of your card, by using mobile phone available at bank. In case your mobile phone provided to Bank is currently not valid (e.g.  you do not use it anymore), then starting from April 3, 2017  you will not be able to perform online purchases or other transactions from the sites, which have 3 D secure support, since special code sent to your phone will not be available for you to finalize a transaction, hence  you are kindly asked to visit one of our branches till April 3, 2017  to provide valid phone number.
